#3806 Union Arms marked Pepperbox, (Marston produced), 3”x34caliber percussion which is extremely unusual as it is basically a Dragoon size caliber, but in a smaller-than-average length Pocket Pepperbox! And while Marston produced pepperboxes varying widely in length and configuration, this is the first one that I have seen in a larger caliber. As is correct for the Marston produced Union Arms marked guns, this one has the full fluted barrel group. It does, however, seem to be missing a little rectangular piece of metal at the top of the frame next to the hammer, and while it does work well, it seemingly should have had a piece in that location to keep dirt out of the action. Fortunately, there is no engraving or markings in this area, so it would not be too difficult to fit in a new piece of fitted steel if it is found to be too objectionable. Pretty danged scarce little Pepperbox and the first one that I’ve run across in this weird configuration. With the exception of the missing piece, it is VG+ condition. $685
