Description:
Heavy barrel New York rifle by L.Coon, a listed New York maker. Rifle is in very nice condition with lots of inlays and tasteful engraving on the lock and patchbox.
Nicely figured walnut stock is in excellent antique condition with very few flaws and retains its original surface. Brass furntiture with many german silver inlays.
Caliber is aproximately .42 and bore is excellent. Gun would make a great shooter. Lock clicks up nicely and triggers work very well also. Provision for lollipop style peep sight which has been lost.
Overall a very handsome rifle in excellent condition. Would make a great addition to a collection of New York guns or to the firing line of a black powder rifle match.
