SPRINGFIELD KRAG U.S. MOD. 1898 MGM STUDIOS MOVIE PROP RIFLE. CIRCA 1898. Serial number in the 203,xxx range. All original and complete. In good to very good condition. Right rear of receiver stamped “MGM” and stock branded on forend “MGM/PROPS”. Were used in numerous movies of the pre and post WW2 era including “Gunga Din” and “Wind And The Lion”. Working order. Old and barely visible hairline repair at the wrist and handguard with repairs. 50-60% barrel blue and has a good bore. Bayonet and scabbard in very good condition with some old dried grease and scabbard with minor surface rust. Colorful and original.
