FINE SPRINGFIELD U.S. MODEL 1903 MILITARY .30-06 CAL. RIFLE DATED 11-1914. Original and complete serial numbered in the 590,xxx range with barrel stamped “S A/ORDNANCE BOMB/11-14”. Original upgrade in 1917-18 to double bolt stock and serrated trigger. Stock cartouche stamped “B.A.-J.S.” with a “P” and two circled “P” inspector’s proofs to the rear of the rigger guard. Fine overall with silvery grey case hardening mixed with patina on the receiver and bolt. Barrel and mounts with 80% plus original blue. Stock and handguard in very nice matching condition with all the original finish with light patination. Nice regimental stamp (4/H/7) at the heal near the butt plate. Perfect working order and excellent bore.
