WW1 DWM MAUSER GEW 98 INFANTRY RIFLE DATED 1915. 8 mm Mauser cal. 29” barrel. All original and matching in superior condition. Receiver ring stamped “DEUTSCHE WAFFEN-UND/MUNITIONSFABRICKEN./BERLIN/1915”. 95% original blue on the barrel. Receiver with the original patinated polish. Excellent stock and hand guard with visible Imperial “CROWN/FW” and “CROWN/B” inspector’s proofs on the right butt. Ordnance proofs stamped on the underside of the butt stock and behind the trigger guard. Matching serial number stamped on stock behind the swivel mount. Excellent bore. Perfect working order. Original sling swivels and muzzle cover. Over the years we have seen very few of these that are in this superior condition particularly with this early “Western Front” date.
