WW2 2ND MODEL HAMMESFAHR SOLINGEN MAUSER 1894/ 98 BAYONET, SCAB, FROG FOR K98k RIFLE. Imperial German. Original bayonet and matching scabbard. "Essen" marked 1938 date frog. Ricasso marked "Gottlieb Hammesfahr-Solingen-Foche" and opposite serial number same as scabbard. Original wood panels excellent as are screws. Back of blade with "17" and various letters. Crown/lttr proof at pommel catch release button. Original edge never touched beyond initial sharpening. 1938 frog stamped "Paul Uhlig/ Essen/ 1938".
