#3711 C.S. Pettengill Army Model Revolver
This is a Civil War 44 caliber percussion 6 shot double action only percussion revolver. Rogers & Spencer manufactured these for Pettengill. 2000 of these were delivered between Oct. 1862 and Jan. 1863. The 3rd Michigan Cavalry were issued 500, the 3rd and 5th Missouri Militia, 1st Arkansas, 3rd Illinois and the 3rd Kentucky.
The mechanical function is good plus to very good and the bore is almost very good with frosting and strong rifling. The grip cartouche is faint and the markings are good plus to very good. The serial number is 3476 and is matching numbers.
