Description:
F# 5G-155. SN 1934. This is the rare first model made in 1875. Only 3035 made.  Most all were purchased by the U.S. govt. and issued to various Cavalry units includind the 9th and tenth regiments.  9th and tenth regiments were the famed Buffalo regiments serving out of Ft. Sill,  Indian Territory. These regiments were engaged in action against several Southwest Indian tribes.  Cal. 45 Schofield. 

Gun is complete, original and in good cond.  SN 1934 and U.S. stamped on bottom of butt strap.  SN also stamped on rear of cyl.  Insp. stamp (L)  (David A. Lyle) stamped on rear of cyl. and bottom of barrel lug.  Cartouche faintly visible on left grip.

Action works perfectly.  No rust or pitting. Traces of blue on trigger guard and bottom of frame.  Metal surfaces are grey patina.  Wood good, small chip bottom of left grip.  VG markings.  Good bore.

A similar pistol sold at a major  in 2011 for $6325.00.
