Description:
#3704 Civil War Smith Carbine 50 Caliber Percussion Breachloader
This is a nice Smith Carbine with 85% blue and case color original finish. This is an early one with serial number 6390. American Machine Works made this one in 1861 or 1862. The mechanical function is excellent, crisp and tight. The bore is excellent, bright and shinny. The wood stocks and cartouche on the wrist is crisp and sharp. Really nice Civil War carbines are getting hard to find. Smith Carbines were issued to at least 9 or 10 U.S. Cavalry Regiments and over 30,000 of them were made.
I would consider trades for pre 1899 ANTIQUE PISTOLS and rifles on any of my items.. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO TRADE? Ask about our 30-90 day lay-away program. We accept Bank Check, Money order, Personal checks or wire transfer.
