Payment Types Accepted: Check, MO, Wire Transfer Description: #3705 Civil War Smith Carbine 50 Caliber Percussion Breachloader The lock is marked J. Lancashire and the barrel rib is marked Theodore Gray, Pittsburgh. This is a very well made and heavy American made 9 gauge percussion double barreled shotgun. It has Damascus browned barrels and nicely engraved hammers, locks, top and bottom tangs including the trigger guard and patch box. Both engraved hammers have a dog-face. The walnut ramrod has a very nice augur tip and the butt stock and for end are both nicely checkered. The barrels are not damaged and retain 70% brown. The rest of the metal is either blue or case colors. The 30” barrels have nice bores with only a small amount of frosting and the muzzles measure .809” diameter. LOP is 14” to the front trigger and has a hefty weight of 11 lbs 2 oz. This is a very high quality and is considerably more than a utility grade shotgun. I think this was a British maker and American retailer. I would consider trades for pre 1899 ANTIQUE PISTOLS and rifles on any of my items.. WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO TRADE?
