Description:
This cruciform blade bayonet is marked 'G crown R" over "No 4 MK I" over "SM" on left side. Right side shows "372" inspector's mark. Catch marked "SM" over "42". Built in Scotland at Singer Machine in 1942, this bayonet has the centering dimple on back end of spike. Blade shows staining, socket retains 70% blue with silvered edges and wear. Comes in a correct zinc throated scabbard that retains about 70% blue also.
