This Colt was produced in 1945. It has the military finish and is marked U.S. Property. The serial number is 571864. This pistol retains it's original box that is serial numbered to the pistol. The original instruction sheet and spare magazine is also included. This pistol has been shot very few times. It is in almost unissued condition with a rating of 98% and better condition. The spare magazine shows no sign of being used. The instruction sheet is in fine condition. This pistol is one of a shipment of guns to the United States Government, Commanding Officer Washington Quartermaster Depot Cameron Virginia For Property Officer G-2 Mis, Pentagon Building D.C. 2/20/1945 Colt Order # 5000. The top of the box has a persons name and information written in pencil. I did not research this person to find out if this person was involved in the military or the Pentagon. These military Colt's are very collectable and can be researched to a point. To have a Military 1903 with the original box, papers and correct spare magazine is a real find! Search for hlvfineguns.
