Description:
For sale is a slightly used custom Interarms Mark X dangerous game bolt action rifle chambered in 458 Win Mag. The rifle was built on an Interarms Mark X Mauser controlled feed action, with a 24 inch Lothar Walther stainless barrel, on a McMillan Express rifle fiberglass stock and then fully customized by New England Custom Guns in late 2013. I have over $5000 invested and am selling due to health reasons. I’ve attached pictures of the custom work performed by NECG that includes fit and finish a second recoil lug on the barrel, fully bed the action, furnish and fit a Classic Ramp front sight with folding hood, install a flip up night sight, furnish and install a Classic one leaf express sight on a quarter rib, furnish and install a Classic barrel band swivel, stippling on both front and rear sight ramps, engraving of 458 Winchester Magnum on rear sight, 4 Cartridges on the floorplate as many historic Express rifles had, and the serial number on the trigger guard. The entire barreled action was then coated with Black T (Teflon). I never hunted with her, just had her built with the intent to join my friend on a Safari that I never took. Over $3000 in custom work on a barreled action, stock, and scope (Leupold VXIII 1.5-5) that cost me over $2000. LOP is 13.5 inches. This is a finely constructed dangerous game rifle built by a very reputable firm. Great shooter and manageable with recoil tamed by the 11 lb total weight of the rifle. This dog was built to hunt! Will only ship to an FFL. Ships UPS Ground from my transferring FFL dealer. Shipping cost to CONUS is $45. Buyer is responsible for additional insurance over $1000 as that is how much I usually include. Not for sale outside the US. California buyers include an additional $50 as my dealer will not ship to CA and I have to use another who charges me this surcharge. Sorry. Only payment form accepted are USPS money orders that can be purchased in denominations up to $1000 each at the post office. This is a very nice custom Express at a fraction of the build price.
