Description:
This was one of the scarce first variation Marlin 56's. It was made before the factory cheapened them (aluminum action, shorter barrel, fence post wood). This rifle has the desireable steel receiver, full length 24" micro groove barrel and absolutelu GORGEOUS Wood! Wood and metal finish is at an astonishingly high level due to meticulous care by its previous owner, a retired engineer. Rifle is mechanically perfect inside and out with no rust, damage or other red flags. Comes with items as pictured: Original sights and hood, lyman #66MD steel receiver sight w/original box, which now houses the instructions and the original rear sight, elevator, and filler screws, and the Weaver B4 scope and base set for this rifle, with screws. Sling swivels are the push button quick detach style. These rifles are known for accuracy and durability, and this one is pretty as can be. C&R ok for this one.
