This one is so nice ,it could be unfired. All metal is nickel plated ( and in 95% condition) except the top latch, the hammer, trigger and trigger guard all of which are blued. About 75 to 80 % remains. The hard rubber grips are in 99% condition with the "F&W" logo, and a shield and star. The barrel is marked "Forehand & Wadsworth, Worcester, Mass. U.S.A." and " Pat'd Dec. 7/86,& Jan.11/87.". The serial # is 35012. The barrel is round and 3& 1/4" long. This was probably made in 1887 or 1888. All empty shells are automatically ejected when the action is opened. The action is strong and the cylinder revolves and locks up properly. The bore is good with lots of sharp rifling. The cartridge openings in the cylinder are all clean. A handsome and well made pistol. I would not shoot modern ammunition in this pistol unless a gunsmith says it is safe to do so. It is offered as a collectible item only.
