English Best Gun of this grade were usually ordered custom made for nobility. This W & C Scott & Son, Side x Side 12 gauge with Fine Italian leather fitted case, 2 barrel set (one set for water fowl, one set for upland), Serial #39180 (believe to have been manufactured in 1858 at 10 Ct. Castle St., Regent Circus London). RARE custom Side Lock with patented crystal cocking indicators. Arguably the first ever cock indicator known to civilized man!! Plated Hammers are visible thru crystal cock indicators. This is one of the first guns to have Original Monte Carlo comb (Prince of Wales grip) made from English Walnut and were often used in famous live pigeon shoots in Monte Carlo, France. The quick barrels would be great to have 20 ga Briley or Teague barrel lining installed.
