SPRINGFIELD KRAG U.S. MODEL 1894 RIFLE ALTERED TO PHILIPPINE CARBINE CIRCA 1899. .30-40 cal. 22” barrel altered from 30” rifle for use in the Philippines by their Constabulary under U.S. supervision in the early 1900’s. Muzzle turned for bayonet. Looks all original conversion with proper fitting and aging. Fine overall with 50-60% casehardening and blue. Stock and forend with all the finish. Cartouche not visible but “P” circled proof present behind the trigger guard. Working order and very good bore. Very good WW2 Boyt sling dated “44”.
