WW1 SPRINGFIELD U.S. MODEL 1905 BAYONET W/ 1917 SCABBARD. Blade crisply struck 'US/ serial number" and 'SA/ flaming bomb/ 1917" on reverse. Traces of original blue on fullered blade. Quillon securely riveted. Original wood grip panels held with screw have two "M" and swastika(just one side) carved into them. Fits prefectly into accompanying leather convered with green paint(original-now flaking) 1917 scabbard with steel drag. "M" scrawled on back of throat as well tying the two together. Lots of character brought back by a GI.
