WW1 DOUGHBOY CAPTURE MAUSER C96 BROOMHANDLE PISTOL AND RELATED ITEMS CIRCA 1918. .30 cal. Military Mauser C96 pistol in all original excellent and matching condition. Working order and nice bore. WW1 “Bring Back” by Cpl. Hugh H. Muir, 313 Inf. Regt., 79th Div., U.S. Army-one of the most engaged units of the A.E.F. during the fighting. Also included are Muir’s medals including his Verdun medal and Commendation for the Meuse-Argonne, Montfaucon, Troyon and Grande Montagne offensives and his WW1 Victory Medal with Meuse-Argonne and Defensive Sector clasps. Other items include his dog tags, WW1 helmet. Gas mask, photo of him wearing the helmet and gas mask taken during the war, troop ship billet passes both going over and coming back, German Mauser Saw Back bayonet, trench knife and a group of newspapers including Stars and Stripes and the Loraine Cross 79th Div. from the War period. Also his 79th Div. A.E.F. end of War Parade Pennant with his name, rank and Cpl. Stripes. Muir served in the National Guard from the District of Columbia between the Wars becoming an Officer of Engineers and an enthusiastic Military Match Rifle shooter. With the group are included three WW2 medals (one is the North Africa medal) and three shooting medals. His Officer’s leather covered swagger stick is also included. Price on request.
