- Note: This is a 1923 manufactured Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine. The gun has turned a plum brown with the exception of some original blue showing in protected areas. The gun originally had the typical dove tailed rear sight, but that sight is missing as well as a second dove tail having been cut just behind it. The front sight is original and the rear sight is a Lyman tang peep sight. The bore is bright with strong lands and grooves with some dulling in the grooves. The buttstock has been repaired at the wrist with two through pins still showing a drying crack along the left side of the comb. The buttstock is solid and the gun is mechanically sound. Would make a great vintage gun for use in the field!
