Description:
This is a Remington Capping toll for the Remington Hepburn Rifle. It is for the Remington special target 38-40 cartridge. It is NOT for the 38-40 Winchester. You will find these illustrated in Rowes fine book on the Hepburn rifle. The condition is excellent as you can see from the photos, with nearly all the nickel and original gold paint. It is marked 38 40 on the inside of the handle. I do have some other calibers in this tool I will be listing later, so keep an eye on my s. Feel free to give me a call if you have questions.
