It is .74 caliber with a round 7&!/2" blued barrel retaining 40-50% of the finish. There are a number of engravings on the barrel top along with a nice proof mark on the right side near the lock which I have not been able to identify. The balance of the metal work shows only traces of blueing. There is no rust or pitting evident. The full walnut stock is sound with a number of minor dings but no splits, cracks or wood lost. The action is very strong. The hammer has a crack near the bottom which does not impede its function. The ramrod looks old and could be original. There are wire designs set in the top of the grip. Probably made in the late 1700's or early 1800's. Antique- NO FFL required- can be shipped direct to you. Note_ Flintlocks are rapidly increaseing in value.
