Description:
A really nice Emerson and Silver Cavalry Saber, 35" blade is dull but no dings or dents. The sheath is aged brown but also not dinged or scratched. The sword at the hilt is marked EMERSON & SILVER, TRENTON N.J. On the other side is U.S. J.M.(inspector) and the 1865 date. The three armed basket hilt has a nice caramel patina, All in all a very good example of an untouched cavalry saber from the civil war.
