Description:
Early hammer gun with "Peterse Movement" left hand top lever, possibly unique. Double triggers normally configured, and what appears to be the original stock has noticeable cast off (for RIGHT hand shooter), possibly bent, or made for an eccentric customer. Steel NP barrels w 2 folding leaves, rejointed, reregulated and reproofed in UK in 2007 for 70mm ctgs, R 760/695, L 752/692. Bores bright with some pitting remaining at mouth of chambers and at transition to chokes. Extraordinary figured stock 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 15" thru leather covered pad, 3/8" cast off, solid with no evidence of cracks or repairs. Extended top tang. Some loss of engraving due to age/use. Circa 7.5 lbs. A paradox in more ways than one!
