The knife has a Kepi makers mark with Roberts initials REB stamped in them and 84C marked on the other side of the blade. The scrimshaw on the antique elephant ivory scales is signed by L. Erickson (Linda Erickson) and dated December 1990. This is the 84th knife Bob made and it is 440C Stainless Steel heat treated to 58 hardness by Paul Bos (Buck Knives). The blade measures 3 3/4 inches and overall measures just over 8 1/8 inches. This custom has exquisite scrimshawed mammoth ivory of 3 bobwhite quail flushing in a grassy field setting. A lined lanyard loop and 4 brass pins perfectly finished hold it all together. The antique elephant ivory has a beautiful grain with no cracks or separation. A beautiful mirror polished clip point blade that is perfect and looks to have never been used remains razor sharp. The custom brown saddle leather scabbard, also made by Bob, has a basket weave style tooling and matches the knife perfectly with a tight and snug fit.
