Description: Absolutely Stunning Von Lengerke & Detmold, N.Y. Retailed Springfield carbine (!) which appears to be a collaboration between master Rudolph Kornbrath's engraving and The Great Bob Owen's rifle building skills. Fully Scroll and Game scene engraved. Condition is excellent throughout. Bore is stone mint - only a few minor handling marks. This gentleman's rifle doesn't appear to have ever been any further afield than the range. < Footnote: after a phone conversation with Bob Beach, A&F, G&H, and V L & D historian at Griffin & Howe. I've learned that this rifle was originally ordered and completed for A.V. Frost on Jan. 4, 1928. Mr. Beach also had much more information on the succession of owners of this rifle over the years; and that a research letter could be provided by contacting him at G&H.> MakerVon Lengerke & Detmold, N Y, N.Y.
