Description:
This 50 loop belt has sewn on loops and is 48 inches long and 3 inches wide with 2 1/8 inch loops. Belt has unmarked brass ends with unique Hulburt brothers style full loop captive wire ends. A simple C hook closure is present. No eyelets or sheet brass slides were ever installed on this belt. Belt has three decorative dark stripes woven into body and loops. One loop is torn and belt has several small frayed areas. This belt is shown and described on page 326 of Dorsey's American Military and Naval belts 1812-1902.
