Description:
Serial #31022L, .357 Magnum, 6” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This revolver was made in 1976 and retains 85-90% of the original blue finish that has silvered slightly at the muzzle and along some of the high and exposed edges. There is a light turn-ring on the rear of the cylinder, but there are also some small spots of gray underlying steel at the rear of the frame where the blue appears to have been removed by a caustic liquid hammer retains most of the original color case-hardening with traces of mild silvering along the edges. The cylinder latch appears to be a later replacement as it rides slightly proud of the frame, but is still fully functional nonetheless. The checkered walnut Colt medallion grips are in fine shape with almost no flattening of the points and only some negligible handling marks and surface blemishes. The lock-up is tight and the mechanism functions flawlessly. This is a great Colt DA revolver in excellent condition, and would make a fantastic handgun for target or home defense use. FFL
