It has a 1-3/8" barrel, 7 groove rifling, and an 11/16" style breech. The markings on the breech and lock are post 1848 style, and was likley made circa 1858-1865. The "P" within a sunburst is stamped on the breech side. All the metal furniture is German Silver including the two breech bands. The stock is in fine condition with original varnish, and only the typical small crack at the rear of the bbl. All parts are original and correct, and the lock functions perfectly. The stock checkering and metal engraving are also quite sharp. Barrel, breech, lock and hammer are all in original faded blue/brown, with evidence of bbl. striping remaining.
