REDUCED TO SELL!!! Good condition. Sharps New Model 1859 Civil War Carbine 52 Caliber. 22” barrel, 39” overall length. Marking near breech: New Model 1859, markings on barrel. Sharps Manufacture Co./Hartford, Conn. markings on left side of the receiver: C. Sharps Pat. Sept. 12, 1848. : C. Sharps’ Pat./Oct./5/1852, right side of lock: R.S. Lawrence pat. April 12, 1859. Markings are very readable. Walnut stock. Ser. #64409 makes it 1863 production. Condition: Barrel, bands and sight are brown-plum. Case hardening is grey/silver/brown. Wood has some dents, dings and small chip on right front forearm . Bore has rifling and corrosion. Pitting on butt plate. Missing sliding bar on sight. Tight action. Good condition 1863 production Sharps New Model Carbine that will not break the bank. Can send more photos on request.
