#336140-C, Colt Government Model 1911A1 45 Auto "BB" Commercial Series Made in 1970 with the "C" Suffix, It remains unfired & new in the factory box, It is with the Barrel Bushing "BB" accurizor markings and was one of only about 1000 Colts manufactured with this barrel bushing transitional feature that Colt made during the transition period preceding the introduction of the Series 70 1911s. The test results from Colt M1911's equipped with this new barrel bushing technology went into the design of the Series 70 pistols that Colt serious followers value, The barrel is stamped with Colt .45 Auto with the "BB", The right side of the frame is stamped with the serial number and "BB" underneath, The box has "BB" on the end label, All told it has the Series 70 three prong barrel bushing. The brown box has the serial number written on the bottom with the "BB", 5" barrel, Stars are Present at each end of the word Model on the slide, Blue finish, Molded Coltwood grips, Grooved trigger, Correct box with the correct outer sleeve, Paperwork, The blue is 99%, The box remains at 94%, Bought new about 1970 and put away, This piece along with several other S&W's and Colts were bought by a gentleman in the early to mid-70's with the full intention of putting them away until now. They all were one owner guns and stored properly.
