Description:
Barker 12 bore antique (circa 1880) Royal Damascus Double. It has 30" barrels, and good, black powder only, shootable bores. "Royal Damascus" is inlaid on the rib in gold, and the grip end has a German silver shield inlay. It is stamped "choke bored" on the top of the left barrel. The action and locks are engraved, with the left lock having a coin silver pointing dog inlay. The action is tight, and the barrels ring well when struck. All the wood is sound with no cracks. One hammer is replaced with slight mismatch. Both hammers are rebounding and cock correctly. There has been no refinishing of the wood or metal.
