Description:
Most people do not know the rarest caliber in winchester carbines is 32 win spl. Even seasoned collectors will say 401 or 405 which is wrong.
This is a model 94 is in 98% original condition. This one A GI had it engraved when it was new in 1948 while stationed in Japan.The engraving as i was told was performed with a scribe by a Japanese artisan in a cligrafye design. The action is crisp and appears unfired. The bore is 99% bright and shiny. the finish retains most of its original finish see detailed pictures.There are some minor little sratches on the for arm I suspect this slid up against some thing a long time ago. I slipped once whil climbing on a cliff and my winchester slid back down . It got banged up a bit
still worked fine...........Whats unique about this winchester where the engraving is has patina on it and makes for a very pretty carbine
If you collect pre 64s this is one you really want ........novice or seasonedd collect will not disapoint .......ca 1948
