Description:
For sale is a very nice L. C. Smith Ideal Grade 12 gauge shotgun with some very nice special order features. The special order features are automatic ejectors, Hunter One single trigger, and an English style straight grip stock. The 30 inch London Steel barrels have shinny bores that measure .731 with .025 (modified) choke in the right barrel and .044 (extra full) choke in the left barrel. I would rate the barrel bluing at 90% with a few light marks and the color case receiver at 80%. This shotgun also has an ivory bead and mid bead. The stock and forearm are very solid and have about 80% finish and are very nice with the exception of the typical L. C Smith hairlines. There are fine hairlines on both sides right behind the sidelocks and one on the left side of the forearm. There is also a small repair on the bottom of the stock next to the receiver. The LOP is 13 3/8 but feels longer due to the trigger position. For a shotgun manufactured in 1926 it is vey nice, locks up tight, and works great.
