Colt Lightning Medium Frame, Cal.44-40, Ser. 457XX. Magnificent, is the only way describe this Attic Queen. The percent of the original factory high polish blue remaining is at very least 80-85%. The only significant loss other than edge silvering is the magazine tube which as usual has toned to a soft gray and with some thinning around the the trigger guard from handling.. There are no pits oe rust anywhere. This model does have the covered bolt housing. The screws have retained almost all of the original fire blue and are unmarred. The case colored buttplate has toned to a soft gray like the magazine tubeThe gun has been fitted with the special order adjustable tang sight and flip, globe and bead front sight...The regular factory leaf sight is still present and in super condition. The walnut stock has darkened slightly with age and has a few surface nicks and dings but still retains about 90 % of the original lacquer. The fore end is skillfully checkered and in beautiful condition with just a couple of small areas of flattened points. The octagonal barrel shows only the slightest sharp edge and muzzle silvering. The bore is awesome, mirror bright with razor sharp rifling and only the slightest graying... The buyer gets unlimited bragging rights....$4495.
