Springfield M1 Garand in .30-06. Metal work does appear to be very nice, stock does show signs of wear. Serial number indicates manufactured date to be in October of 1943. George S. Patton stated about the Garand it is "The greatest battle implement ever devised." It was the gun that won the War.
