Description:
Most everybody knows the Bannerman story. They bought up defunked or struggling companies with all the parts and tooling and pieced them together into something salable. That is how Bannerman aquired Spencer. This is one of those Bannerman Spencers. On the side is marked " Model 1900". Its a 12 ga with a 30" bbl. Bore is pretty good. Some light roughness scattered throughout. Stock is shy at upper and lower tang. A chunk missing at the bottom of the upper tang. Nice buttplate. Bannermans can be easily spotted with the different style of wood forearm than the Spencers. This forearm is in VG cond. Mag tube is not so good. Action works but is sluggish. If you are looking for an old unique collectable for not a lot of money, these are a good gun.
