#276240, Winchester Model 70 Pre-64 in 300 H&H Made in 1953, 26" barrel, Folding rear sight, Early style machined integral front ramp, Factory front sight hood, 2 piece scope bases with lever release 1" rings, Standard 3 position safety, Standard Model 70 hinged floorplate, Straight comb stock without a monte carlo comb, Standard point pattern checkering, Sling eyes & swivels, 13 5/8" LOP over a modern Winchester 7/8" pad that was added later, 8 lbs., The original barrel blue is 94%, The receiver blue is 90%, The floorplate & trigger guard is 88%, The bolt knob is 70%, The original wood finish at 65-68% with handling marks all over the place, The checkering is 80%, The bore is absolutely excellent plus. It was hauled around and hunted but I don't believe it was ever shot a great deal. After all a 300 H&H is not exactly a varmint rifle. I pulled it apart and the inletting is solid and it is totally free of any cracks.
