This carbine is approximately one of 30,000 that were manufactured after the Civil War and were converted to 3-groove rifling. Overall condition is outstanding with nearly all of the vivid case colors as well as about 98% bright glossy blue. Vivid case colors on the buttplate. Original wood is untouched with a sharp cartouche and original saddle ring. Excellent plus inside and out. Would be a great addition to any Sharps collection!
