Description:
Extra rare and in operable condition; 1893 37mm One Pounder US Navy deck cannon.
All original condition, excellent bore, smooth operating block, no rust or pitting, nice markings. Sits on a Washington Naval Yard landing carriage. Missing foot brake, otherwise all complete including landing wheel. Professional re-made wheels, hubs and ammo boxes. Looks great and works perfectly. Has both front and rare rear post sights. Documented service in 1898 on the USS Vicksburg which had a significant part in the Spanish American War off the Cuban coast and later in the Philippines. Will consider delivery.
