1836 Hall U.S. Breech-Loading Percussion Carbine

Produced by Harpers Ferry Armory, a total of 2,020 units were manufactured from 1837-1840. Includes ramrod style bayonet and offset iron sights. .64 caliber smoothbore round barrel (23”). Issued to the 2nd U.S. Dragoons. Breechblock marking: J H HALL/ U.S./ 1839.

Barrel retains some of the original brown finish. Case hardened breech shows pitting. Walnut stock is unrefinished with possible repaired crack at rear of breech.Later pattern stock lacking implement compartment.
