Description:
A rare Sauer German military pistol Model 38H in .32 acp. This gun a vet bring back from WW2. The blue finish is at approximately 95% with some thinning on the high spots and turning a brown patina on the grip straps. It has German proof marks of EAGLE N in the bright blue finishon the top right side. under the serial number on the right grip frame and on the barrel and most interesting on the left trigger guard is the EAGLE C proof denoting POLICE assigned. Police marked guns are the most desirable of the common type German military handguns. The pistol has the commercial high grade finish with the double line manufacturing name and caliber on the left side and the single line "patent" on the right. All the numbers match on the pistol although the magazine is Sauer marked it is not serial numbered. The bore has a "mirror" finish and the interior parts are superb. The very rare cut checkered magazine button is not seen on all the like model pistols produced by Sauer.The black plastic grips are original to the gun with no chips or cracks, overall this is a very clean and excellent example of the Sauer H38 pistol and would make a great addition to any military hand gun collection.
