Description:
This two piece half split empty blue label box shows very light soiling on top label, no side sealing label was ever applied. Side of box shows handwritten notations 'Belt Hole Bushings March 1900" in black ink with red "8" in circle. This top label is from around 1880 and it shows one tiny chip in center. Boxes with similar notations are known to have come from the Winchester factory, they also had no side sealing labels. A very interesting box with a very nice label.
