Description:
Serial #M5166, .50 Caliber, 21 1/2” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a modern-made, faithful representation of the well known Civil War Smith Cavalry Carbine, and has practically all of the original blue finish remaining on the barrel and a commensurate amount of original color case-hardening remaining on the frame. The forend and buttstock have a handful of negligible marks in the otherwise excellent original oil finish. The lock-up is tight and the carbine is also mechanically excellent. Included with the gun are 10 modern black synthetic Smith cartridge cases (originals were made of hard rubber), suitable for use. This is a handsome remake of a famous Civil War cavalry arm. Antique
