W.W. Greener Sidelock Hammer, circa 1888, 8 bore, 3" chambers, original BP proofs, 32" original damascus barrels, 14 5/16" LOP over horn butt plate, 1 7/8" DAC, 3 1/8" DAH, 3/8" cast off for RH shooter, 11 lbs. 15 oz., extractor, bar action sidelock with fine English scroll engraving and games scenes featuring a dog and pheasants on right, a dog and grouse on the left, a hare on the bottom and a dog and snipe on trigger guard, barrels with rib extension and Greener cross bolt, smooth concave game rib engraved "W.W. Greener, 68 Haymarket London, Winner of the London Gun Trials 1875, 1877, 1878, 1879", top of rib extension engraved "Patent Treble Wedge Fast." around "308P", nicely figured stock with round knob grip and splinter forend with horn inlay tip, Deeley Edge forend release, double triggers. Gun remains in very good to excellent condition with very good bores showing only very minor scattered light pits, damascus barrels have been overblued and would really benefit from a browning, butt stock looks to have been refinished at some point.
