Description:
John Dubiel, super high conditioned rifle in 300 H&H. Serialed #602 which was a continuation of the Hoffman numbers after 1930 in Ardmore, OK. Gun has it all from that period, Kornbrath engraved and signed, all original finishes, carved borders to perfect checkering. Made for John J. Atkinson in gold on belly of rifle along with a gold crest of some sort on the toe of the stock. Fine conditioned Lyman Alaskan in engraved G&H mount tops off this beauty. Dubiel was best known as a gun stocker for Hoffman and there is a complete chapter on him in Petrov's two volume set on Custom Gunmakers of the Twentieth Century Volume II. The fit, finish and workmanship on this rifle is beyond compare from that period. Not many Dubiel rifles out there as he died in 1937.
