Description:
Henry marked bbl. This gun is in the 23k serial range. A good early collectable Winchester that was built in 1869. A good eye appealing gun with nice receiver patina. Good smooth metal. Good markings. Nice sharp edges on the octagons. Bbl color is a blue/grey. Nice action. Stock is VG overall. Slight age shrinkage at the tangs. Some discoloration on the lower tang. Well done repair or age coloring? Lever lock looks like an old Frontier repair or replacement. The brass buttplate is also in very nice cond. It does have 6 light achievement marks. Good fitting to the wood. Forearm also in VG overall cond. Some wear. A good collectable old Winchester.
