Description:
The action is crisp and smooth loads and ejects perfectly. I did lload and fired off a round its very nice, The bore is bright and shiny with very good rifeling.. The wood still retains 60% original old varnish no cracks or chips wood is solid. The barrel and magazine tube has a nice even golden patina with no blueing showing. the receiver shows 80% blue. The curved butt plate show a small hairlinecrack and small chip out of one side. The barrel is stamped JM for John Marlin which means is considered by many to be better a made rifle. serial # J 17,xxx is circa 1952 in 1952 I was 8 years old wish i could of had this then>>>>>>>>>>
