Description:
70% case color still remains on the dainty but elegant rifle from the past. Harris Holland started business in 1835 and quickly developed a reputation for fine shotguns, double rifles, and singles shots. He was a well known sportsman and was regarded as one of England\'s finest shots in the highly competitive sport of live pigeon shooting. In 1860 he moved the firm to the New Bond street address and also took on his nephew Henry W. Holland as a seven year apprentice. This is within the period our rifle was built with undoubtedly the hands of Henry himself used in the making of this fine firearm. Henry completed his apprenticeship in 1867 when he was taken into the firm as a partner, creating the firm we know today as "Holland & Holland." Lining to .22 is top quality with a near perfect bore.
