Description:
For many of my clientele and myself this gun would epitomize the quality and art of gun making that peaked during the reign of King Edward the VII (1901 until 1910). The Game scenes engraved on this gun are way ahead of their time with dogs that look like dogs, birds that look like birds, all with little resemblance to other gunmakers game scenes of the era where the animals resemble cartoon characters. Stunning Damascus barrels with elegant smoky wood perfectly complement the engraving on this well balanced and well appointed game gun. Interesting that it is noted on the rib that the gun was "remodeled" by the English gun maker William Ford. In this context I believe this to mean it was restored to as new and they certainly did excellent work.
